- Rutherford Cross is excited to be partnering with a FTSE listed business to appoint a Renewables Accountant. This is an exceptional opportunity for a qualified accountant to play a key position in a high profile area of a major business. Should the post-holder perform well in the role, the visibility of this business unit will uniquely position the incumbent for development opportunities.
This is a varied, flexible and challenging role with primary responsibilities Including:
period end close and timely review of mid-month and month end journals, applying expert knowledge of financial and management accounting in addition to a medium level of judgement, and communicating changes required.
The post-holder will take ownership of timely review of mid-month and month end reports applying strong commercial and industry knowledge.Duties include:
- Monitoring and evaluate controls recommending improvements if required
- Management and statutory reporting along with timely review of regulatory report pro-forma’s using knowledge of specific regulatory requirements
- Review of VAT return pro-forma prior to detailed review by Group Tax
- Budgeting & Forecasting & co-ordinating and consolidating the annual budget including stakeholder sign off
- Providing financial insight and challenge as necessary to ensure budgets are accurate and realistic
- Co-ordinate and consolidate the forecast including stakeholder sign off, providing financial insight and challenge as necessary to ensure forecasts are accurate and realistic
- Involved with continuous improvement and support the Renewables Finance Manager to identify and implement initiatives and opportunities e.g. process improvements
On offer:
- Salary of £35,000-£48,000
