Description

Rutherford Cross partnering a forward-thinking blue-chip company based in Glasgow to appoint Client Money Assistant Manager.

Additionally, the individual will be expected to engage with other business functions in order to identify robust solutions to remediate any FCA rule breaches (as raised by auditors or business stakeholders). Working with other business functions to implement process / control enhancements and providing audit evidence for the CASS 5 audits will also be an on-going part of the role.

The role also involves overseeing the administration of UK finance SOX controls.

Duties include:

  • Manage the day to day running of the team, including line management responsibility for 4 members of staff.
  • Encourage and promote learning within the team.
  • Be a subject matter expert within the team, dealing with complex issues and delivering solutions
  • Manage the daily preparation of client money calculations for regulated entities;
  • Maintain complete and accurate records of the calculations processed to ensure compliance with CASS regulations;
  • Responsibility for implementing process improvements and regularly reviewing current controls and procedure documentation;
  • Keep up to date with business changes that will affect the calculations by liaising with internal teams;

Candidate requirements:

  • A University degree and ACCA/CA/CIMA qualified
  • Strong technical accounting skills are essential. Deep knowledge of Microsoft Excel is vital
  • Experience working in Financial Services management insurance would be especially useful
  • Flexible, happy to deal with multiple tasks and environments within our international organisation
  • Highly organised and dedicated with excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills in all formats. Happy to work independently and also perform as part of an effective team
