Interim Financial Accountant job with our Edinburgh based Charity client for an initial 6-month period with the possibility to go permanent. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts for internals teams and budget holders
• Liaising and communicating financial documents in a way that is understood by non-finance team members and preparing financial analysis to support this
• Reviewing all monthly income and expenditure reconciliations including year on year analysis, balance sheets and budget
• Production of annual accounts, supporting schedules and analysis for external auditors as well as leasing with external auditors
• Preparation and consolidation of reforecasts as required during the year
• Production of annual Corporation Tax Return
• Providing budget support to the Finance Business Partner
• Preparation of salary budgets by using existing payroll information
• Supporting other members of staff in the preparation of revenue and expenditure budgets
• Producing cash flow projections for the medium and long term
• Transferring funds as necessary for short-term cash requirements
• Securing VAT exemptions and ensure compliance with the VAT and Gift Aid legislation as well as maintaining the records

To apply you will be a Qualified or “Qualified by Experience” Accountant with a broad Financial and Managment Accounting skillset. You will possess excellent analytic skills with a high attention to detail as well as possessing proficient systems knowledge. Beginning in early March 2022. Salary: Circa £38,000 p.a.
