Description

This leading multinational business is looking to create a newly created role of Treasury Lead.  The role will report to the European Treasury Manager who in turn reports to the Chief Financial Officer for Europe.  The finance team consists of over 40 professionals who provide services including financial and management accounting, treasury, tax and operational finance from offices in Glasgow.

The role requires a full or part qualified accountant with analytical experience gained in a large corporate organisation.  Due to an imminent system implementation it is also highly advantageous for candidates to have good process mapping and project management skills.

Key Duties & Responsibility

  • Treasury management and capital management
  • Leading on the implementation, communication and administration of a new Treasury Management System
  • Work with wider finance team, including specialist areas, as required e.g. Operational Finance, Tax to help ensure the department meets overall finance objectives and is fully compliant

Experience/Knowledge:

The successful candidate should have the following experience:

  • Full or part qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/CA)  with cash management/treasury experience
  • Cash forecast modelling experience
  • Ability to develop policies and procedures to ensure a strong financial control environment is maintained and that risks such as counterparty and foreign currency risks are mitigated
  • Proven experience of taking theoretical concepts and then implementing practical business solutions either as an individual or as an effective collaborator within an organisation
  • Experience of working with international bank payment platforms and driving down bank charges would be advantageous
  • Experience in the financial services industry or within an international business environment would also be preferable.

  • Good team player who is willing to flexible in their role ad workload to help the overall team meet objectives
