Rutherford Cross is delighted to support our market-leading corporate client in finding their next Transactional Finance Manager. As the Transactional Finance Manager, you will be responsible for day to day leadership of a large finance team responsible for the collection of company trade debt and settlement to insurers. In this role you will lead a large transactional finance team and contribute to the overall success of the finance function whilst serving internal and external customers. This role will require you to deliver great results while hitting key performance indicators and targets, ensuring day-to-day operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day to day leadership of the team responsible for collection of trade debt and settlements
  • Identify process areas for development and improvement, and lead transformational changes to improve service and controls
  • Manage controls and process documentation – ensuring they are relevant and up to date
  • Member of the leadership team – driving performance and helping set departmental strategy
  • Delivery against a set of performance metrics & targets ensuring day to day operational delivery for the division
  • Perform monthly 1:1’s to support and develop staff, following the company performance appraisal cycle for each team member
  • Support the training, development and coaching of assistant managers, team leaders and team members to provide them with relevant skills to undertake their assigned tasks
  • Work with a high volume of bank accounts and payments to ensure they are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Stakeholder management locally and internationally
  • Identify areas for development in current processes and controls as well as leading transformational changes for overall improvement
  • Assist with the month end process and month end balance sheet reconciliations
  • Compliance with company policies and procedures and any external regulations

The Candidate:

  • Previous experience working within high volume transactional finance/ banking/ reconciliations/ treasury department and leading a finance team
  • Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications is a must
  • Experience of working on ERP implementations/across multiple systems is preferable
  • Good understanding of month end processes
  • Comfortable dealing with banks and high volume reconciliations

 

The candidate must have strong multitasking skills to confidently prioritise and manage their workload, all while maintaining high levels of accuracy. This role offers hybrid working and a salary of up to £60,000. For a confidential discussion please contact [email protected]
