Description

Rutherford Cross is partnered with a leading Financial Services business who is currently going through a huge amount of change due to considerable growth. The business is now looking for an individual to take ownership of this continued growth to meet its ambitions.

In this role, the successful individual will become familiar with both the existing finance operating model, as well as engaging with a range of senior stakeholders both internally and externally.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and develop a finance change programme that will serve inter-function and intra-finance function change initiative; incorporating finance representation, participation and compliance with the Group integration programme. This will include an integration plan, progress reporting and structural support
  • Take ownership of the group change programme including support requests and working with SME engagement
  • Be the champion sponsor; encourage and support a continuous improvement culture in finance functional areas
  • Work collaboratively with finance colleagues who are accountable and responsible for current and future BAU deliverables, pathfinding successful strategies to balance BAU and change priorities
  • Regularly interact with senior stakeholders to communicate plans, progress status and expected completion dates
  • Coach, mentor and develop other members of the wider finance team
  • Get involved in sub initiatives and tasks to support change and integration on behalf of colleagues in the wider finance team

 

Experience Required:

  • Qualified Accountant (CA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
  • Previous programme management experience
  • A good understanding of best practice finance operating models, systems and processes
  • Ideally formal change management qualifications but more importantly practical application of various approaches and change management tools
  • Respect for and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Proven track record of financial reporting development, adaptation and improvement, and design and application of reporting controls
  • Reporting specialist with strong professional, service and delivery ethics
  • Significant knowledge of financial accounting, reporting and operation of controls
