Rutherford Cross are pleased to be working in partnership with a deep-technology manufacturing business to appoint the newly created position of Senior Accountant. On offer is a salary of up to 50k and a hybrid and flexible working pattern. This is a new role that has been created following the tripling of my clients’ manufacturing capacity in West Scotland. Reporting to the Site Financial Controller this represents a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing business at a key point in its growth trajectory.

We are looking for an individual with a positive attitude who is self-motivated, works well as part of a small team, and is interested in expanding their skills and knowledge. The ideal candidate will be organised and excellent at prioritising tasks and managing their workload.

Ideally, we are looking to engage with Qual/Part-Qual/QBE accountants who have prior experience within a Manufacturing/FMCG environment. Happy to consider those in a more junior role looking for a step up or alternatively someone in a comparable role looking for a new challenge. It is the top-level understanding of BOM/Costing/Inventory/Stock that is key.

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory reconciliation and costing experience
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts & ensure accuracy of all reported data
• Generate weekly KPIs and flash reporting
• Provide margin & expenditure analysis by product line & project
• Analyse & report on all departmental expenditure, efficiency measures and manufacturing variances highlighting any trends
• Assist management team formulating budgets & forecasts
• Provide ad-hoc support for Financial Controller & other members of Management Team
• Track and validate cost out savings from business projects
• Use lean principles to improve end to end business processes
