Data and Analytics is one of client’s core business accelerators, and is integral to the firm’s 2020 strategy and growth plans. The Data and Analytics community is rapidly expanding, and today consists of over 400 dedicated analytics professionals across the UK and Ireland. Due to the continuing growth of the Risk and Assurance business and increasing demand for analytic solutions by our client’s clients, they are currently recruiting Managers.
The Opportunity:
The Risk & Controls Analytics team helps clients to understand how well their processes, systems and controls are functioning by capturing and analysing large volumes of their transactional data. Control weaknesses are quantified and we support with remediation by giving clients full insight into the activity across their processes. You will work across a wide range of industries and sectors including Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, Consumer Business, Health, and Government.
Typical Projects:
- Process analytics in major ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or Peoplesoft)
- Risk and control monitoring platform development
- Data migration and reconciliation assurance
- Data governance and quality reviews
- Internal and External audit analytics

Desired Skills & Experience:
- A successful track record in data analytics consulting as a Manager, with experience gained through a top tier professional services firm or consultancy (e.g. Big 4, Cap Gemini, IBM, or Accenture)
- Previous work leading technical data analytics teams (e.g. Internal Audit Analytics, Business Intelligence, Management Information Systems, or Data management) within a large organisation
- Working knowledge of the process flows, underlying data structures and configuration of major ERP systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP, Peoplesoft, Dynamics)
- Working knowledge of core financial processes (e.g. purchase to pay, order to cash) and their related risks and controls
- Proven ability in SQL (T-SQL or PL/SQl) scripting, including writing stored procedures and data extraction/manipulation using queries
- Working knowledge of a range of visualisation tools (Tableau, Spotfire, Qlikview)
- Exposure to the application of machine learning is desirable
- Experience developing data models and reports in a SAP HANA environment or with data warehouse solutions such as Teradata would be highly desirable
