Rutherford Cross is delighted to be supporting a global leader in the financial services industry to appoint a Payroll Administrator. The ideal candidate will be used to working in a high volume, fast paced environment. With excellent scope for progression this role presents an excellent opportunity for development.

You will be responsible for:

  • Processing the UK payroll
  • Building and managing a relationship with HR – you will be working as a dedicated payroll contact for the business
  • Inputting and checking all aspects of UK Payroll
  • Responsible for the input of Starters, leavers and completion of all appropriate tax forms
  • Confident in knowledge and application of statutory and firm rules in relation to: SSP, SMP, SAP, SPP, redundancy payments and many other aspects of payroll processing
  • Attention to detail to review and check other administrators work to ensure accuracy and providing absence cover for the business unit
  • Dealing with employee related queries
  • Day to day liaison with clients – HR, employees, HMRC and Vendors
  • Monthly payroll reconciliation and control reporting
  • Ability to manually calculate PAYE and NI when required
  • Arranging third party monthly payroll
  • Archiving quarterly aged payroll documents
  • Maintaining a detailed understanding of current payroll legislation, with a proactive approach to apply daily in your work
