Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established organisation as it launches its brand-new facility in Glasgow. Rutherford Cross is pleased to be partnered with the organisation in order to appoint a Management Accountant. The successful candidate will report to the General Manager and will be responsible for providing financial control, analysis and support to the General Manager as well as working closely with the central Finance team.

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Ensure budgets and actuals are correctly captured and reflected within the finance system
  • Implement financial controls and processes ensuring alignment with wider Finance policies
  • Manage end to end cash management process including performing cash reconciliations between revenue management platform
  • Assist with cash flow management and forecasting
  • Provide the General Manager with accurate and insightful management information to assist in commercial decision making
  • Provide additional financial support and guidance where required
  • Lead and co-ordinate on the forecasting/budgeting process within set timeframes
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings and development days
  • Work closely with the Finance team to align accounting policies, procedures and practices
  • Work with the Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable team to ensure all invoices are accurately coded and submitted in a timely manner
  • Assist with monthly/quarterly internal financial reporting requirements as well supporting the year end statutory reporting process

 

The individual:

 

  • Fully qualified (CA/ACCA/CIMA) or experienced accountant
  • Strong management accounting knowledge
  • Experience of financial planning and analysis
  • Experience in the production of financial reports and reporting against key performance indicators
  • Experience working with an accounting system
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and in particular Excel
  • Knowledge of Oracle NetSuite (desirable) or similar accounting system
  • Knowledge of Solution 7
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Dynamic individual with strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight timescales
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
