Rutherford Cross are delighted to be retained to recruit an Investment Analyst by an established Wealth Management firm based in Dundee. Due to an increase in demand for services by private clients and an anticipated diversification of products offered, this role represents a fantastic opportunity for a talented and committed investment professional.

 

The role holder will work within the investment team, undertaking a varied position with scope for further development of responsibilities as experience level grows.

 

Key areas of focus will include:

  • Responsibility will include the production and development of client and fund reporting
  • Provide assistance to the wider organisation as a point of contact for clients in relation to investment matters and any other ad-hoc duty as directed, to contribute to the efficient operation of the department
  • Provide research assistance to investment team with a particular emphasis on investment within portfolios
  • Monitor and update investment universe database
  • Assisting with the dealing function on an adhoc basis
  • Provide a variety of high quality, accurate reports for a diverse range of clients
  • Responsibility for all administration relating to new business processes
  • Provide statistical and performance analysis on portfolios as and when required
  • Take responsibility for a various ad hoc investment projects, to achieve desired results within acceptable timescales

A summary of the key candidate requirements are as follows:

  • Preferably educated to degree level
  • CF30 qualification desired, with willingness to progress qualifications
  • Keen investment interest with practical experience with an investment house and/or an IFA
  • Dealing experience and client facing experience would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of investment instrument types and their uses
  • Confident communicator at every level, with strong inter-personal skills
  • Self-motivated and capable of developing in the current role over time
  • Diligent and analytical approach, displaying drive, commitment, and professionalism
  • Flexible and able to work on a variety of projects
  • Excellent IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel
