Interim Senior Financial Accountant job with a leading charity. This role will be based just outside of Glasgow for a period of circa 6-months. Reporting to the Head of Financial Accounting, you will be responsible for:

• Undertaking Accounting Reviews for technical accounting areas such as restricted funds, accrued income, deferred income etc.
• Hands on analysis of general ledger, data, and documentation to ensure accuracy of records
• Balance Sheet Reconciliation Reviews to identify issues and take corrective action ahead of audits
• Providing audit support as required including the review of audit documentation
• Developing control frameworks to improve quality and accuracy of financial data whilst liaison with Auditors and control owners
• Reviewing and updating policies and procedures where gaps are identified
• Support other finance teams by recommending and sharing process improvements where opportunities are identified

To apply, you will be a Qualified accountant with post qualification experience. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in audit and technical accounting reviews, able to offer hands on support to this growing business. You will have previous involvement in the implementation of policies and controls as well as the ability to work to tight deadlines. Knowledge of Charity SORP is desirable but not essential. Finally, you will be IT literate with ERP systems and Excel. This role is largely remote with only 1 day per week required on site. Salary bracket: £50,000 - £60,000 p.a. or equivalent day rate dependant on experience.
