New Interim Project Accountant job with our Edinburgh based client. This role is for a 6-12 month period and will report directly to the Head of Regulatory Finance. The key duties of this role are:

• Preparation of accruals and journals ensuring accuracy of month end accounts
• Leading on the review of actuals and evaluation of forecasts
• Classification of monthly expenditure and reporting them along with forecast into Regulatory templates
• Liaising with external auditors on 2 sets of audits
• Update the repayment model to report project margins and identify risks
• Maintain reconciliation of expenditures such as Time-sheeted costs and Option & Easements
• Support with any ad hoc duties required by the finance team

To apply you will be an experienced accountant with strong analytical skills. You will have good communication skills and be comfortable being challenged by stakeholders. You will have excellent Excel and computing skills as well as previous experience being involved in year end audit. This role will start early June and will support a hybrid working pattern. Salary circa £45,000 p.a. dependant on experience.
