Rutherford Cross is delighted to be supporting a well know central Scotland based business to recruit an Interim Financial Controller for a period of around 6 months. Working as part of a well established team and reporting into the Senior Financial Controller a summary of some of the main duties will be:

• Support Senior Financial Controller and other Financial Controllers with ad hoc tasks
• Review divisional balance sheet reconciliations
• Perform financial credit checks
• Review new contract awards before creating on accounting system
• Support budget process including ad hoc analysis
• Weekly consolidated cash flow preparation
• Review and approve change of supplier bank account details
• Monthly review with Finance Manager of payment practices statistics
• Assist the preparation of monthly consolidated financial report
• Prepare weekly payment schedules for approval by each division
• Any other relevant duties

This will be a varied and hands on Financial Controller role with no staff responsibility but plenty of interaction across different parts of the business. The company are seeking a fully qualified accountant who has previously been operating at Financial Controller level and preferably in a larger business.
