Rutherford Cross is working with a business based in Glasgow who have experienced significant change and growth over the last couple of years. An opportunity has arisen within Finance for a Financial Analyst to join their team. This will be an interim role with an expected duration of 3-6 months however there could be the opportunity for the role to move to permanent also. Providing support to both the Group Finance Director and Managing Director this highly commercial role will offer broad experience. Some of the key duties will include:

• Weekly forecasting and assisting with the yearly budget
• Review of management accounts with management accounts team and investigation and resolution of variances to plan
• Ad hoc analysis as requested by the MD and management team
• Generation of business improvement ideas
• Preparation (with the commercial team) of price increases
• Production of (and improvement of) monthly management pack (including non-financial information)
• Support the roll out and understanding of KPIs across the business
• Integration of acquisitions into Group KPI, planning and reporting systems
• Liaise with Group Finance (including Group FP&A) on Group initiatives and projects

This job will suit either a Qualified Accountant or QBE Accountant with previous experience of working in an financial analysis role. Advanced level excel for reporting as well as being highly confident in using spreadsheets and interpreting and presenting financial information is key.
