Rutherford Cross is excited to be working in partnership with a successful, medium sized business, based on the outskirts of Glasgow to appoint a Group Finance Manager.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a qualified – CA / ACCA preferred, to lead a small finance team, and report to a commercially focussed Finance Director. This role is ideally suited to a recently qualified accountant looking to progress their career and take on additional responsibility.  The FD is seeking some post qualifying industry experience, and first-class academics.

Responsibilities will include:

• Supporting on projects including acquisitions and integrations
• Full preparation of month end group management accounts
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Staff management of a small team
• Managing the bank and cashflow
• Acting as lead contact with external auditors
• Margin and income analysis
• Variance analysis
• Overseeing payroll, credit control, AP & AR

The successful candidate will work closely with commercial and operational colleagues and so high levels of self-confidence, gravitas and interpersonal skills are essential.

To be considered for this post, you MUST be a fully qualified accountant – CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent. Previous ERP systems experience would be advantageous, and very strong Excel skills are essential for this one.

On offer:

Salary £40,000-£45,000 plus bonus
