Financial Control Manager £45-55k (6 months FTC) Edinburgh

A unique opportunity for qualified accountant with a strong financial control or reporting background to gain experience of being involved in the creation of a new standalone bank in the UK. It will provide “go getting” proactive individuals with unique experience in actually being part of building a brand new target operating model and potentially being involved in an IPO.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Control Manager to play a key role in the Programme supporting the monthly consolidation reporting and control activities. This is a great opportunity to take on a challenging and rewarding role within a large programme.

The Consolidation Manager will help to drive the successful delivery of monthly reporting, analytics and control for the organisation.

• Monthly consolidated reports for ExCo
• Close liaison with retained group company to support their on-going internal and external reporting requirements
• Monthly control activities relating to ledger close and overall process governance
• Ensure compliance with Programme Delivery governance and objectives
• Ensure compliance with accounting policy and operational risk frameworks
• Ad-hoc requests from a diverse range of stakeholders
• Positive contribution to the wider Financial Control Objectives.

To be involved you will ideally have a Professional Accounting Qualification however Qualified by Experience with relevant experience in a Financial Services are welcome to also apply and success in this environment has as much to do with the individual’s attitude and ability as having their qualification.
