Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with a well-established, AIM listed business headquartered in Glasgow to recruit a Financial Administrator. The finance team works at a fast pace to ensure that invoices are issued and recorded timeously, and the role will suit someone that is used to and enjoys working in an environment where accuracy across a variety of client accounts is a key component of the business.
Responsibilities include:
- Pull sales information from booking system onto accounting system
- Daily sales invoicing
- Journal processing
- Process any booking amends / cancellations
- Sales month end procedures
- Process ad-hoc purchase invoices on purchase ledger
- Twice weekly payment run for off service bookings
- Process payments through sage
The Candidate:
The role requires a well-organised, diligent, and experienced finance admin professional who is able to work to set reporting deadlines and work on various client accounts with different processing requirements.
- Significant previous experience working in finance department roles
- Experience and understanding of accruals and prepayments
- Ability to work with good attention to detail across differing processes
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills would be beneficial)
- Prior experience of Sage accounting systems (beneficial, but not mandatory)
- Excellent numeracy skills
