Description
Rutherford Cross is working with an innovative, global business, who are looking to add a Financial Accountant to their team on an interim basis. The role is for 6 months and is focused on supporting the business through the Audit period. Working as part of a large finance team the role will support the Head Office and Group Reporting Finance functions. The business are currently operating a hybrid model of home and office based which is likely to continue. A summary of some of the key duties are below:
- Support with the UK subsidiary year end statutory accounts process, including liaising with external auditors
- Support with the Group year-end consolidation, including liaising with external auditors
- Financial statement preparation including data gathering required for year-end financial statement disclosures
- Help to ensuring UK and Group accounting is fully compliant with relevant accounting standards and reporting requirements
- Support the overseas divisions with audit queries
- Analyse and reconcile Group intercompany balances
- Ad hoc projects as required
This role requires a fully qualified accountant with excellent interpersonal and communication skills as there will be regular interaction with various teams both in the UK and Internationally. A strong financial accounting background with experience in preparing consolidated and statutory accounts Is essential along with having a good technical knowledge. The company are also seeking a proactive candidate who can show initiative to drive things forward and able to balance different requirements in a fast paced environment. This contract will offer exposure to a highly commercial organisation who are going through rapid growth and the role will be supporting through a pivotal time at the business. Salary on offer £40-45,000.
