Supporting the Director of Finance and Commercial, this newly created Controller role offers the opportunity to provide significant commercial input and exposure to the Board and Investors. You will work closely with the Director to provide an effective implementation of the Corporate Plan, business plans and providing comprehensive financial management and leadership to the business. Responsibilities include:

• Sophisticated financial analysis and modelling to enable business development and decision-making and to appropriately inform and advise colleagues and stakeholders
• Developing and leading the finance team
• Leading the annual budgeting process, ensuring the timely production of detailed and summary revenue and capital budgets and cashflows
• Provide input and support to Executive Team to aid business planning and its delivery
• Provide financial and management accounts and other financial reporting to the Board and financial reports, input and analysis as required
• Provide advice to the business on accounting and VAT issues

To be considered for this opportunity you will be qualified with the relevant PQE. Given the communication level involved in this role you will have exceptional communication and relationship building skills. Exceptional leadership qualities are also essential as you will be supporting colleagues at a senior level, through periods of significant positive change. You will also be a commercially minded with the ability to identify wider business implications, but will also be hands on with exceptional attention to detail.  A proven track record of successfully leading a high performing team and leading a budgeting process are both essential.
