Rutherford Cross are working with a bluechip organisation based in central Glasgow who are seeking a strong technical accountant to join their finance team for a long term interim contract. This role is working as part of a team who operate in an IFRS environment and the main focus is providing the technical advisory/IFRS support across various business units. Key aspects of the role will include:

·         Supporting business units, providing support around a variety of accounting issues

·         Keeping up to date with IFRS accounting standards and any developments

·         Implementing any changes required

·         Prepare statutory accounts for various legal entities

This role requires a qualified accountant with very strong technical accounting knowledge who is experienced in working with IFRS and preparing statutory accounts. This role is highly visible in the organisation and requires regular interaction with various departments and senior management. It will offer a challenging remit where problem solving ability will be key, as well being proactive to interpret requirements and provide solutions.
