Rutherford Cross is currently recruiting a Finance Business Partner for a leading organisation based in the Glasgow. This is a key position within the finance team and will be responsible for ‘value adding’ across multiple functions. The Role
A new role of Finance Business Partner has been created as a result of continued growth and to support the Financial Controller. This will entail accurate and timely execution of key business partnering activities, primarily in the areas of financial analysis, compiling and presenting reports, streamlining processes and improving systems.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Producing management information that will be utilised for commercial decision support
- Supporting the long term planning and budgeting processes
- Manipulating and reviewing data from various sources to produce market reports
- Identifying areas of improvement and opportunities to streamline processes
- Participate in ad-hoc projects where deemed appropriate
- Supporting and influencing Directors and Mangers in various parts of the business
Specifically, this role will require the individual to work regularly with the Sales and Marketing teams on several projects. In the main this will involve competitor analysis, influencing pricing decisions and long term planning.
The Candidate
The position requires a confident individual with a commercial mind-set and strong interpersonal ability. As this role will interface heavily with the business, experience of a commercial environment would be preferred and candidates will ideally be from a large/corporate background. Individuals form the profession may also be considered if currently working in Corporate Finance, Transaction Services or similar.
It is essential that the individual will be a professionally qualified accountant and likely that they will possess c1-2 years post qualification experience. The qualification can be from any recognised professional body (i.e. CA, ACCA or ACMA).
Remuneration
In addition to a salary of £38,000 – £42,000 per annum (depending on experience) there are generous benefits as well.
