Baxters started in 1868 when a small shop was opened in the village of Fochabers, where they sold Jams & Jelly.
A lot has changed in 151 years, but their dedication to making only the best quality products hasn’t. The Baxters brand has grown from a humble village store to a global brand with a turnover of over £300m and has expanded its product range to include soup, relishes and many more offerings to cater for everyone.
With the sheer scale of the operation, Baxters now has sites based throughout the UK and food manufacturing operations in the USA, Australia, and Poland. The science and technology that underlies it may be far removed from the little village shop in Fochabers. but the ethos remains the same. “Be different, be better”.
Baxters now find their product being sold in major supermarket chains such as Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and many more, which has contributed to the large-scale growth of the business. Baxters head office is situated just off Charlotte Square in Edinburgh that oversees the UK & Global operation.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Group Finance Manager with regular interaction with the finance team and various other stakeholders within the business. This role provides the opportunity to get involved in a fantastic business that has made itself a well-established household name over many years.
The position is best suited to someone who is looking to get involved with a large-scale business and someone who can bring new ideas to the table. This role will involve providing timely statutory accounts, producing forecasts and budgets with insight for the group to review and participating in group audits, and liaising with internal and external teams.
