Rutherford Cross is delighted to be partnered to be retained by Circularity Scotland Ltd to recruit a Head of Accounting

Circularity Scotland Limited (CSL) has been approved by the Scottish Government to operate as Scheme Administrator (SA) for the Deposit and Return Scheme in Scotland (DRS).  CSL will be responsible for the collection of single use drinks containers included in DRS returned by consumers and administering the deposits associated with each transaction.

CSL is a commercial company, operating on a not-for-profit basis, whose members include all of the major drinks’ suppliers and retailers in Scotland. Having been approved, CSL is now rapidly moving into implementation mode and building the infrastructure necessary to create a leading, world class operation for this multi-million-pound turnover company, unique within the UK.

CSL is seeking to recruit a self-motivated and innovative Head of Accounting to join the team at this exciting time to be part of and contribute to the Pre- Go Live activities required to be delivered by CSL. Post- Go Live, the same resource will step into the position of Head of Accounting of the fully operational corporate entity. These phases are differentiated as the responsibilities of the role will differ during the two distinct stages of CSL’s evolution from start/scale up to a fully operational corporate entity of significant scale.

CSL is in the process of closing out terms for a leased office in central Glasgow where this role will be based. The office is likely to be occupied from April/May 2022 and the role will be predominantly home based until the office becomes available.
