Prior to joining JDS in August 2020, Arlene was the Chief Finance Operating Officer at Aviva plc, responsible for leading Global Finance Operations and Transformation. Over her career, Arlene has held several senior Global Finance, Strategy & Consulting roles across the UK, Ireland and Australia working for Alliance Trust Savings, Westpac Institutional Bank, Allied Irish Bank, RSA and EY. She qualified as an ACMA with Zurich Financial Services.
Additionally, Arlene was a Board Director for the Homeless charity Social Bite and specifically part of the team to deliver the Social Bite Communities village in Edinburgh in 2018.
At this exclusive virtual lunchtime session, Arlene will share her career journey to date and thoughts on working for one of Scotland’s largest privately owned businesses. In particular, Arlene will discuss her experiences of working for organisations undergoing significant change and her reflections on developing a career with no straight path to CFO.
