Rutherford Cross Celebrates 5th Birthday with New Appointments

Rutherford Cross is celebrating five years of trading by welcoming four new consultants to the business, including experienced finance recruiter Laura Montgomery.

Montgomery, who has over a decade of experience in the senior finance market supporting Scotland’s most reputable large corporates and high growth SMEs, will have a particular focus in recruiting the roles of Group Financial Controller and Finance Director.

Her experience includes coordinating campaigns to recruit entire finance teams, as well as conducting targeted search and selection assignments for Board level appointments.

In addition to bringing Montgomery on board, we have also significantly strengthened our senior interim finance team by hiring Gillian Donaldson in Glasgow, and Eleanor Tuner and Gayle Pike in Edinburgh.

Rutherford Cross, a part of the Livingston James Group, was established five years ago, and now employs 17 people over three sites in Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Manchester.   Clients include Heineken UK, Clydesdale Bank, Weir Group Plc, SMS Plc, Caledonian MacBrayne, Grant Thornton, Alexander Dennis, Sainsbury’s Bank, Heriot Watt University, CALA Group, William Grant & Sons and KPMG.

Mark Lewis, who leads the Rutherford Cross business said: “These new appointments are the latest in a series of experienced hires that have significantly strengthened our offering to market.  Bringing Laura and the other consultants on board is the ideal way to mark five years of Rutherford Cross and start us on the right track for the next five.”

Livingston James Group Co-Founder Jamie Livingston, commented: “Rutherford Cross has experienced continued growth since its inception five years ago.  By continuing to hire high calibre recruitment professionals, we are ensuring the future growth of the business.”
