Rutherford Cross is partnering with Scottish Cycling

Scottish-CyclingScottish Cycling is the recognised national governing body for cycling in Scotland. Based at the state of the art Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome in Glasgow, the organisation is Scotland’s gateway to cycle sport. Scottish Cycling is a first point of contact for those who want to get involved in racing, coaching, volunteering and youth development. Its network extends to over 15,000 people and it supports clubs and races all over the country.

Scottish Cycling work across all six cycling disciplines: BMX, Mountain Bike, Cyclo-Cross, Road, Track and Cycle Speedway in 178 clubs and associations throughout Scotland, with over 650 events across the disciplines providing lots of opportunities to participate. The organisation works in partnership with British Cycling to provide support across all levels of the sport in Scotland, as well as helping to nurture home-grown talent to compete at a world and Olympic level as part of a successful GB cycling team.

The Head of Finance & Business Support is a newly created role which will be an integral part of the Scottish Cycling Senior Management Team tasked with executing the organisation’s strategic plan priorities. The organization prides itself on core values to create a positive environment and a winning culture with a growth mind-set. It strives to ensure it is customer focused and that all services are delivered on time, within budget and to high standards for members, stakeholders and sponsors.

As Scottish Cycling continues to grow and diversify so too does the need to continuously improve and have robust and effective financial and business support policies, systems and operating procedures in place to run efficiently and effectively. As such, the appointed candidate will play a key role in setting the team structure and developing the function over time to reflect the changing needs of the organisation.
